Andrew Foulkes, our Youth Minister, along with his dedicated team of volunteers, coordinates the Youth Work here at St Chad's. We hope there is something for everyone so please have a look through the different groups that meet throughout the week and on Sunday's:
Sunday:
'Born 4 Heaven' is a Sunday School type group that meets at Church House on Abbey Lane from 10.30-12pm during the 'Lifted' Service in church. For anyone in Year 6-9 we have fun, play games and also seriously explore the meaning of the Christian faith to young people today.
'Foundation' is small, contemeporary service that meets at St Chad's from 7.30-9pm. This congregation is suitable for anyone in Year 7 and above.
Monday:
'Youth Club' with table tennis, pool, tuck shop, Nintendo Wii and weekly challenges and activities meets in church from 7.30-9pm. It costs £1 and includes free toast and hot chocolate! Open to anyone in Year 7 onwards, why don't you come along and make some new friends!
Thursday:
'God's Gorgeous Girls' is a groups just for girls. Meeting in church from 7-8.30pm, they have lots of fun and learn more about what it means to be a girl of God! Suitable for girls in Year 5-8.
Young Adults Small Group meets on Thursday evenings from 7.30-9pm at Tim and Emily Hopkinson's House. It is for Y10s and above.
Various:
Andrew meets regularly with small groups of mainly Year 10's and above. He's hoping to launch a 'Young Adults Small Group' with them in the next few weeks.
