Toby became our vicar on 15th March 2010 following a service of Institution and Induction at St Chad's led by The Bishop of Sheffield. He was formerly Assistant Priest at St Mary's, Islington where he had been since 2006.
Toby is married to Amy and they have three young children Magnus, Isaac and Lydia .
They have a long association with Sheffield through family and were regular visitors. They have a love for the city and the surrounding countryside and have felt for some time that God was calling them to work in Sheffield.
Before ordination, Toby spent five years working as a solicitor in London . |

Helen joined the staff in December 2008 and is the first point of contact for general church enquiries. As well as keeping the office running smoothly and dealing with most correspondence, Helen has responsibility for Church House lettings, the weekly Information Sheet, producing leaflets and Service Sheets and maintaining Registers, Databases and the Electoral Roll. |

 | Yvonne Smith (email: yvonne@stchads.org) Reader/Assistant Minister (for the elderly)
Yvonne has been worshipping at St Chad's for many years and her roles are divided between worship and ministering. She regularly takes reponsibility for leading worship, speaking or administering communion at our 9am Sunday morning service and Thursday service. Yvonne also shares involvement in taking funerals and bereavement visits and has initiated a monthly service at a local nursing home. |

Nigel Joined the team in October 2004 following early retirement from HSBC.
He became a Church Warden in 2006 and Treasurer in 2007. The role of Warden/Treasurer is wide and varied but includes responsibilities for:
All areas of Finance including Giftaid claims
10.30am Lifted Service planning
Church Buildings maintenance and improvement
Computers and Audio Visual systems
Impact Parish Magazine
Website design and maintenance

 | Andrew Foulkes (email: andrew@stchads.org) Youth Minister
Andrew is in his 5th year at St Chad’s as a full-time professional Youth Worker, having spent two years on placement here whilst studying.
He has overseen the development of mid-week and Sunday morning groups and also works closely with the local secondary school delivering lessons and doing detached youth work. As well as having overall responsibility for the ‘Foundation’ Sunday evening congregation Andrew sometimes leads the Sunday morning ’Lifted’ service at St Chad’s.
Andrew has recently launched a Youth Club in Woodseats. |

 | Steve Winks (email: steve@stchads.org) Besom
Steve leads a team of nine people from five different churches and has been involved with The Besom in Sheffield for the past seven years. Besom is a cross church, city wide initiative which encourages people to recognise Gods heart for the poor and to get involved themselves. Apart from the day to day running of Besom he organises prayer events and speaks to groups and churches across Sheffield, and beyond, about how they could be involved with Gods work amongst the most vulnerable in our city whilst remaining distinctly Christian. He is also a Regional Advisor for Besom which involves him supporting existing Besoms in the North of England as well as encouraging the growth of Besom in other towns and cities.
Steve is on the leadership team for the Foundation service which is currently exploring fresh expressions of church, and a leader of the Cornerstone small group. |
