Welcome to our website

We're the parish church for Woodseats and we are group of people who think the message of Jesus is great news for today. Due to Covid-19 we are not physically gathering for many of things that St Chad's is used to that you will find on this website, such as some services, 3rd Age Groups, Natter, Small Groups, Toddlers etc. But even so, we are still church, just more scattered than we are used to. See below for services and resources.

Sundays in the Church Building: Weekly 9am Communion & Monthly 7pm Worship Services

Reshaped Chancel

The weekly Communion is a traditional service, but with some Covid-19 restrictions. Every third Sunday of the month there is a more informal service, including a band and time to respond and pray. At both services there is social distancing and no congregational singing.

Below is the service for Sunday 18th October 2020 (available from 10am that day).

Morning Prayer: Mondays-Thursdays at 9am and online

Chatting A small number of people gather to pray in the mornings at St Chad's, which we record for our Morning Prayer podcast, found here. It is a mixture of prepared and unprepared prayers, and informal discussion on Bible readings.

Families at Home

Faith at Home

For younger members of our church family, we have produced some activities. Find out more by going to our  Lockdown Faith at Home page. There are various fun activities to help you explore stories from the Bible together.

“God is love.  Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.  This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement: in this world we are like Jesus.  There is no fear in love.  But perfect love drives out fear.” 1 John 4
