Are you looking for a friendly place to escape the cold and grey winter afternoons? We would love to welcome you to Communi-tea — a new weekly event at St Chad’s starting in January designed to provide warmth, connection and a light meal.
What to Expect
Whether you’re a busy family heading home from the school run or live on your own, Communi-tea is a space for you.
- Warmth & Connection: A friendly space to chat and meet new people.
- Food & Drink: Enjoy hot and cold drinks upon arrival, followed by a simple meal later.
- Activities: We’ll have games, jigsaws and Lego available to young and old to enjoy.
Where and when is it?
Communi-tea is in St Chad's church building on Linden Avenue - just off Abbey Lane and will take place every Thursday from 3pm to 5.30pm from January 8 to March 26 (excluding half-term).
How much does it cost?
It's free, but a small donation of £1 would be welcomed for the food if you're able.

Your safety and comfort are important to us. Volunteers are trained in safeguarding but please note that all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
